South Africa Class!
Our Topic this Spring half term is:
"Movers and Shakers!"
This is a Science/Geography based topic that will involve looking at rocks, soils and volcanoes! We will be rock detectives, finding out about the earth's crust, studying volcanoes, looking at different types of rocks and soils and completing a fossil hunt. If you have any resources which you would like to share with the class, I would be glad to show them to the other children.
Hopefully, we will be exploding some volcanoes on Ferring Beach when we conduct our fossil hunt just before half term- more details later!
Please look at our wonderful photos above of our marvellous South Africa Exhibition last term!
Cooking is on Thursday mornings and the children will be making delicious dishes to taste!- By the way, the recipe this term is based on - you've guessed it- Rock Buns!
Mr Phillips will be taking groups of keen gardeners out on Friday afternoons.
Please try and hear your child read, at least three times a week if possible. It really does improve their skills in understanding text, fluency and in their own writing. Please sign and date the back of the homework book when they have read to you; I will also sign and date every week.
