Y6 Basketball Tournament
On Wednesday 4th October our Y6 Basketball team competed in the Locality Basketball competition. Five teams, including our own, took part in a round robin league tournament. Therefore we played four games. We drew the first game against East Preston Yellow (4-4) and won all of the next three games against Georgian Gardens Red (18-4), East Preston Green (8-6) and Georgian Gardens Black (24-2). As a result we won the overall tournament and the children were presented with the trophy. Luke S, Vinny, Matthew and Ella were the players representing our school and they all played brilliantly. It was a particularly strong team effort as we had no subs so they all played every minute of every game. They maintained high energy levels and thoroughly deserved the victory. Well done to all of them and thank you to Matthew's older brother, Luke, who helped to coach the team during the tournament.

X Country Finals at Windlesham House
Well done to Becky, Lillie, Rebecca, Emmeline and Nadia for competing so well at the finals. It was a really challenging course and as a team the girls made a fantastic effort. Well done also to Sam who was the only runner in the boys' race. It was a very brave effort and he couldn't have tried harder. Good practise for next year hopefully!
KS1 Multi Skills Tournament
Key Stage 1 children showed off their PE skills in front a large supporting crowd, when the participated in the latest multi-skills festival. They burned up plenty of energy as they took part in 10 different events for over an hour. The events included, throwing, catching, bouncing, agility, balance, coordination. kicking, hitting and precision throwing. Having completed all the events, the scores were added up and Golden Ferring went home as tired, but delighted, winners narrowly beating St. Margaret's and East Preston Infants. Albion in the Community Tournament
On Thursday 8th February eight Y6 boys took part in the AITC Cup competition held at Lancing FC. 18 teams took part in the competition with the teams split into three leagues of six. Ferring played really well and at the end of their five games the boys had won 1, drawn 1 and lost 3. All of the defeats were by just one goal. We scored 5 goals all together with Vinny scoring three and Luke B and Casper getting one each. Vinny was our player of the tournament but all the boys put in a great performance, playing for each other and enjoying the day.
