I hope you are all staying safe during lockdown and have managed to make the most of your time at home. At least the holidays have been mostly sunny and not too wet, unlike this terms new topic, ‘under the sea’.
You are deep sea explorers and it’s time to take a trip out of the shallows and into the deep end in order to explore the depths of the wild ocean and the mysterious treasures it holds.
This summer term the theme is about all things you would find beneath the sea. Ranging from shellfish to shipwrecks and fabulous sea creatures.
So take a deep breath and dive in.
Please note that work I upload to this website is not expected to all be completed. If you feel that the work I am setting is too difficult/ easy or its just not motivating your child, then feel free to engage in other resources. White Rose, Oak Academy Trust and BBC Bitesize all offer some brilliant lesson ideas with activities.
There will be no more guided reading texts. Instead you may log on to Reading Planet which has a wide selection of scheme reading books with questions at the end. This is a fantastic resource and you should not miss out on the opportunity of using it. Please email me and I'll send you your login details. A big thank you to Miss Squires for setting up this invaluable resource.
Link to Reading Planet below. If you feel the books I have set you are too easy/ hard them please let me know and I will assign a different colour band. Happy reading!
You should of received a parent mail about Tapestry. It is now set up and running so please upload any work to Tapestry for me to have a look at and send some feedback to help your child to improve and progress.
